Prof. Dr. dr. Nila Farid Moeloek, Sp.M (K)

Minister of Health

Nila Djuwita Farid Moeloek is Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. She was appointed as Minister of Health by President Joko Widodo in 2015. Before that, she served as the Indonesian President’s Special Envoy on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from 2010 to 2014. Under her leadership, the Office of the President’s Special Envoy on MDGs designed, developed, and implemented the Pencerah Nusantara program – an innovative health movement that involved improving access to primary health services and incorporated a Partnership Map for Development, an online data platform involving cross-sector and multi-actor partnerships for achieving the MDGs. Prof. Nila earned a degree in ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia and a PhD in ophthalmology (cum laude) in 2003. In 2007, she was appointed as Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. Prof. Nila is a member of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), President of the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association, President of the Indonesian Cancer Foundation, and served as Chairman of PERDAMI in 2006 and 2009. Prof. Nila has been active in chairing a number of high-profile organizations in Indonesia, including the Women’s Organization Dharma Wanita. Currently, she is serving as a board member of the Partnership for Maternal, Child and Neonatal Health (PMNCH), an international organization established to implement the United Nations Secretary General’s strategic initiatives for promoting maternal and child health across the world. In addition, she also serves as an advisory board member for the EAT Forum – a global initiative focusing on the issues of food, health, and sustainability. As a scientist, Prof. Nila Djuwita has authored more than 250 scientific papers and books. For her contributions, she has received numerous awards from various government and private organizations.

Prof. Dr. dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH, MMB, born in Jakarta, 19 June 1966, is the Dean of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia for 2018-2022 period. Previously, he has served as Deputy Manager of Student Affairs and Alumni FMUI 2008-2012 and Coordinator of Administration and Finance Division of Gastroenterology Department of Internal Medicine FMUI-RSCM. He has served as Venture Manager of FMUI 2012-2014. Dr.dr. H. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH, MMB obtained his general doctor degree from FMUI in 1990. In 2000, he completed his specialist education in the field of Internal Medicine and became a consultant of Hepatology Gastroenterology from Kolegium PB-PAPDI in 2005. He was active writing popular scientific articles for lay people in the printed media, as well as being a resource person for various printed medias and television programs. He is also active in research and has produced several scientific papers that have been published in national and international congresses. Some awards and achievements ever achieved by dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, among such as, Dokter Teladan I Kabupaten Batang Hari Jambi 1993-1994, Doctor Puskesmas Berprestasi PB IDI 1994. In addition, Young Clinician Award at World Congress of Gastroenterology Bangkok 2002, The Best Researchers of Gastroenterology at the National Working Conference PGI-PEGI- PPHI Balikpapan 2006, Travel Award at Seoul International Digestive Disease Weeks 2007, and award-winning article in International Journal of DRPM UI in 2006 and 2008.

Prof. Dr. dr. Budi Wiweko, SpOG(K), MPH

Chairman of IHWG

Prof. Dr. dr. Budi Wiweko, SpOG(K), MPH is an obstetrician from Jakarta. He is the doctor graduated from medical faculty of University of Indonesia, both in the education of general practitioners, specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a consultant. In addition, she is also studying as a Research Student at the Hyogo College of Medicine, Nishinomiya, Japan. As a doctor, he served as medical staff reproductive imunoendokrinologi, parts of Obstetrics and gynecology, faculty of medicine, University of Indonesia, dr Cipto Mangunkusumo. Furthermore, he also worked as a manager of research and community service in the Indonesian university medical faculties. dr. Budi is an outstanding physician, who has received many awards related in obstetrics and gynecology, among others AOFOG Young Obstetricians Award 2007 and the best lecturers in 2015. dr. Iko is the best student medical faculty of the University of Indonesia and the best doctor Puskesmas Musi Rawas South Sumatra. dr. Budi actively writing paper and then publish it. Many who have followed training to improve skills and knowledge. In addition, he is also joined by several organizations, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, POGI Jakarta branch, association dokoduksi endokrenologi and fertility, the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology, the Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, Indonesia Gynecology Endoscopy Society, and the Indonesian Association for in Vitro Fertilization.

Prof. Stavros A. Kavouras, PhD, FACSM, FECSS

Prof. Stavros Kavouras is an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas. His lab is studying the mechanisms by which hydration affects health and exercise performance. Dr. Kavouras is the author of more than 90 peer review articles and he has given lectures in 25 countries. He is a section Editor of the European Journal of Nutrition and Fronteers in Nutrition as well as program coordinator for the Exercise Science program.

Prof. Ivan Tack, MD, PhD is a nephrologist, Head of the Department of Clinical Physiology (Rangueil Hospital) and Chairman of the Deparment of Medical Physiology at Toulouse School of Medicine, Paul Sabatier University – France. His clinical activity mostly focuses on water and electrolytes disorders, inherited tubular diseases and metabolic impact of nutritional disorders, including renal stone diseases and osteoporosis. Concomitantly he is involved in experimental research (INSERM Unity 1048, Toulouse) with a focus on early protection from renal diseases based on in vivo experimental modelling.

Prof. GuanSheng MA is a professor of nutrition, and the chief of the Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, School of Public Health, Peking University. He was the Deputy Director of the National Institute for Nutrition and Food Safety, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention during 2002-2015. Dr. Ma’s scientific interests are in the areas of food and nutrition policy, nutrition and health, NCDs control and prevention, particularly in the childhood obesity intervention. Dr. Guansheng Ma started to study medicine in Shandong Medical University during 1981-1986, and then finished his master degree training in public health nutrition in Shanghai Medical University during 1986-1989. He obtained his Ph.D at the Division of Human Nutrition, Wageningen University, the Netherlands in 2007. Dr. Ma sought advanced study on health education and health promotion at the School of Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA during 1992-1993. He finished his fellowship training on behavior and health in the Department of Social Medicine, Harvard Medical School, USA, during 1997-1998. Dr. Ma worked for United Nations Office for Humanitarian Co-ordination in Iraq for three months for evaluating the Oil-for-food program in 1998. He has obtained plenty experience of poverty alleviation when he worked as the governor assistant in A-ba Zang and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China during 2003-2004. He worked in the Department of Food Safety and Zoonose, WHO between 2009 and 2010.

Dr Joan Gandy, RD, RNutr (Public Health)

Joan is a nutrition and dietetic consultant with special interest in hydration and health and assessments methods for assessing fluid intake.  Joan was the British Dietetic Association’s (BDA) first Research Officer and is a past Editor of the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Joan chaired the BDA’s Research Interest Group and was a member of the Research Committee. Since qualifying as a dietitian she has been involved in research into obesity, critical care, hydration. protein and energy metabolism.  She gained her PhD in 1989 working with John Garrow on body composition and energy expenditure in obesity.  Her clinical experience includes obesity, mental health and eating disorders.

Joan has published widely in peer reviewed journals and has presented at several international conferences.  She is a co-author of the Oxford Handbook of Nutrition and Dietetics and edited the Manual of Dietetic Practice, 5th Edition. She has taught at Oxford Brookes University and Westminster University where she helped to establish a Masters programme in public health nutrition. Joan has been the Scientific Lead and Vice Chair for NNEdPro, and lectured on nutrition to medical students in Cambridge. In 2012, Joan received the Complete Nutrition Lifetime Achievement Award. Until recently she was a member of the ILSI (Europe) expert group on adequate methodologies for recording fluid and water intake at population level.  Joan is a visiting fellow at the Functional Food Centre, Oxford and a visiting researcher at the University of Hertfordshire.

Dr. dr. Purwita Wijaya Laksmi, SpPD-K.Ger, FINASIM is staff of Geriatric Division, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. Currentl, she is one of IHWG Special Interest Group in Geriatric Division. She obtained her MD from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. She got her Consultant of Geriatric Medicine from Department of Internal Medicine, FMUI. As IHWG’s SIG from Geriatric Division, she was Book’s Author of “Buku Pedoman Hidrasi Haji” which collaborated with Pusat Kesehatan Haji Indonesia.

Diana Sunardi is an expert in Nutritional Biochemistry, Oncology, Nutrition and Dietetics. She was born in Jakarta, 19 December 1969. She is a Medical and Teaching Staff in Nutrition Science Department, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. She also currently a member of Research & Scientific Divison of Indonesian Hydration Working Group. She finished her study of Master and Specialist in Clinical Nutrition in Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia at 2013. She is a member of Persatuan Dokter Gizi Klinik Indonesia (PDGKI) since 2013.

Bernie Endyarni, SpA(K), MPH is a Medical and Teaching Staff in Pediatric Department, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, and Hermina Hospital Jatinegara, also currently a member of IHWG Special Interest Group in Kid’s Health group. As a SIG of Kids Health she has been a represent speaker from IHWG for Annual Scientific Meeting PDKI X with her presentation Hydration on Kids and Its Relationship with Cognitive. She obtained her MD from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia and her specialist from Pediatric Department in the University. In 2011-2012, she got USAID scholarship for MPH at College of Public Health, University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Titis Prawitasari is a Pediatrician. She is an expert in Nutrition and Metabolic Disease Division of Department of Child, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia and Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. She also currently a member of Pediatric Special Interest Group of Indonesian Hydration Working Group. She is active as clinical tutor and lecturer in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. She has gotten a Researcher Award in 13th National Congress of Child Health, Bandung at 2005 and Young Investigator Award in 10th ICIEM (International Congress on Inborn Errors of Metabolism) Japan at 2006. She finished her medical doctor education at 1996, postgraduate in Pediatrics/Pediatrician at 2005 in Universitas Indonesia. She has Fellowship in Metabolic Disease from Sheffield Children Hospital, UK.

dr. Dewi Friska, MKK is the teaching staff of the FKUI Community Medicine Department and currently serves as the community service coordinator of the Community Medicine Department and FKUI. In 2012, the main proposer acted as project coordinator in forming and developing Posbindu PTM activities assisted by the Kayu Putih Family Physician Clinic (KDK) in Kayu Putih village, Cipinang, Rawamangun, Pisangan Timur and until now these activities are still ongoing with cadre activities in under the guidance of the KDK FKUI Kayu Putih. On DRPM UI Community Service Grant Collaboration Scheme in 2016, dr. Dewi Friska, MKK is also the Chief of Service of the community service activities entitled Training Program for Early Childhood Education Teacher and Cadre (PAUD) Using Educational Media for the Hydration Comic Module as Community Empowerment Activity for Healthy Hydration Behavior of PAUD Age Children in Maluku Province. The main proposer is also the organizer of the Indonesian Hydration Working Group (IHWG) research cluster in the field of Public Relation and Community Engagement since 2012 – now. The Main Servant is the Coordinator of Community Service of the Department of Community Medicine FKUI-RSCM. She has a lot of experience in developing educational media in the form of comics, story books and applications.
