Indonesian Hydration Working Group (IHWG) is one of health research center which focuses in hydration and human health – established in 2012. IHWG’s vision is increase knowledge about hydration matter (Advancing in Hydration Sciences) and sharing knowledge of all matters relating to human hydration and its effects on health, wellness and performance (Hydration Sharing Knowledge). Today, IHWG want to make something different to enhance their ability for sharing hydration knowledge among Indonesian people.
Indonesian Hydration and Health Conference (Indonesian H2C) is the first and largest event of Indonesian Hydration Working Group (IHWG) in 2016. As well as Hydration for Health (H4H) is known as continuously hydration event in France every year which held by Danone Research, we want to follow its success. As a research result from The Hydration Indonesian Regional Study (THIRST) which published by Hardinsyah et al (2009), the proportion of mild dehydration teenagers is 24.75% in the highland and 41.70% in the lowland. The proportion of mild dehydration adults is 15.40% in the highland and 24.05 % in the low land. The awareness to keep body on euhydration or well-hydrated status has an important role to keep body health, so this event important to be formed.
In order to enhance communities knowledge in hydration and human health, this Indonesian H2C will be make in four activities. There are symposium, panel discussion, meet the expert and master class program.
